Ichthys - fish symbol of the Christian ChurchIchthys - fish symbol of the Christian Church

The word ichthus comes from the Greek word for "fish" and is an acronym for the Greek phrase Iesous CHristos THeou Uios Soter, (Ἰησοῦς Χρῑστός Θεοῦ Υἱός Σωτήρ), which translates to "Jesus Christ, Son of God, Saviour"

As someone once put it, having the symbol on a shirt or business card doesn’t replace a genuine relationship with Jesus. We display the Christian fish symbol on our site and materials as more than just a logo - it's a reflection of our faith in God's love. Whilst this belief guides us and inspires our work, we warmly welcome everyone regardless of their own beliefs. We're here to serve the whole of our community with kindness, although if you're ever curious about our faith or just want a friendly chat, we're always open to it - no pressure, just conversation.
