At Rooted in Bolton, our mission is to help everyone to grow some of their own food. As a Community Interest Company, we use our profits to support those who can't, whether it's because of social, financial, or other reasons. If you know of a group or individual who would benefit from our help, please contact us
We are currently working with Urban Outreach, a fabulous Christian charity providing food for households in crisis and supporting the most disadvantaged and vulnerable adults and young people in Bolton, specifically:
The Genesis Project aims to build an interactive garden which will provide a tranquil area for relaxation and outdoor activities. Rooted in Bolton is providing seeds, plants, advice and practical help to create vegetable plots, flowerbeds, planters and hanging baskets
Bolton Food Hub supports households who are facing financial distress through Local Welfare Provision, Storehouse Foodbank and Storehouse Pantries. Rooted in Bolton will provide seeds, compost, growing instructions and ongoing support to service users, helping them to enjoy the experience of growing some of their own food.
